After an initial presentation in May 2023 at the Stockholm forum, the report on Climate Security in West Africa was presented in Abuja (Nigeria) by members of the working group.
The working group, which was set up in 2021 and brings together West African experts on the issue, drew up analyses and recommendations on climate-related security risks during a series of meetings leading up to the drafting of the report. The meeting brought together experts, researchers, academics, state and non-state representatives, civil society players and representatives of organisations such as ECOWAS.
