The forum organized by the Coalition Citoyenne de la Société Civile Pour la Paix, l‘Unité et la Réconciliation Nationale (CCSC-PURN), partner of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung / Mali, focused on the issue of the involvement of civil society organizations in the Sikasso region in the national process of security sector reform. This forum seves a platform for information sharing, exchanges and contributions between CCSC-PURN and other CSOs members.

The different presentations and group sessions allowed participants to exchange and formulate contributions / recommendations that will be incorporated into a final civil society positioning document on SSR. It will also serve as an advocacy tool for civil society involvement in the Security Sector Reform (SSR) process.

It is important to note that this forum was organized as part of the regional project "Security for All" co-funded by the European Union in partnership with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and aims to strengthen/support security sector reform by involving more civil society organizations.
