The Get to Know the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS)

In continuation of its efforts to support the ECOWAS Vision 2020, FES organized this programme to allow 12 junior experts from the region to familiarize themselves with various instruments and departments of ECOWAS and specifically those related to issues of peace and security, and to discuss about the organization’s structure, its security architecture and mechanisms of conflict prevention and management with various ECOWAS Executives. A publication on the Perspectives of these young experts on ECOWAS security architecture is underway.
