The general objective of this meeting was to present the main conclusions and recommendations of the country studies following the validation of the summary report of the first Expert Workshop held in Tunis from May 30th to June 1st 2016.

Thus, during the first day there was an interactive workshop bringing together authors of country studies and experts on security issues in the Sahelo-Saharan space coming from Senegal, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and Niger. The next day was the Round Table, which brought together representatives of national and international institutions, civil society organizations, researchers, academics and defense and security forces officers. The discussions were very fruitful on one hand because of the theoretical and the practical interest of the themes discussed and on the other hand because of the great knowledge of the experts present and the participants.
