From 6 to 8 April 2022, the Peace and Security Competence Centre Sub-Saharan Africa of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and MAI Media organised a training course for the Gambian media in Banjul on the theme "Training of gambian journalists on peaceful elections and ensuring safety of journalists".
Indeed, following the presidential elections in December 2021, the Gambian population was once again called upon to go to the polls for the legislative elections. The role and power of the press is to contribute to the stabilisation of the country during this period by carrying out its noble mission with ethics and deontology.
